Rishi Kapoor Is Finally Returning to India, Here’s What We Know

Here’s when Rishi Kapoor is expected to be back in India.

After almost an year of having to stay abroad, Rishi Kapoor will finally be back in India this month. The actor had been diagnosed with bone marrow cancer in September last year and had flown to the US for treatment. In May this year, Kapoor had said that his medical treatment is still underway. In an interview, Kapoor revealed that while he had beaten cancer, he is yet to undergo a bone marrow transplant.

Well, the good news is that Rishi Kapoor is expected to be back in Mumbai as soon as 10 September. Kapoor, who celebrated his birthday on 4 September was inundated with birthday wishes on Twitter on Wednesday. In his response to a few of his well wishers, he did hint that he would return home soon. In a reply to Lata Mangeshkar’s birthday greetings, Kapoor said, “Ghar wapas aa raha hoon jaldi”.

Yet again in response to former cricketer Sunil Gavaskar’s wishes, Rishi Kapoor tweeted, “You on your way to San Francisco me headed home to Mumbai.”

It was on 29 September last year that Kapoor tweeted that he is taking “a short leave of absence from work to go to America for some medical treatment.” The actor also asked his fans and followers to not to worry or speculate.
