Parineeti Chopra in the Hindi Remake of 'The Girl on the Train'

Parineeti Chopra has been roped in for the official Hindi remake of popular American myster thriller The Girl on the Train. Parineeti will play the role of Emma Blunt in the film - an alcoholic divorcee who finds herself involved in the investigation of a missing person. The Girl on the Train itself is an adaptation of a 2015 debut novel of the same name written by Paul Hawkins. The untitled Hindi remake will be directed by Ribhu Dasgupta and produced by Reliance Entertainment.

Jacqueline Joins Cast of Farah Khan's 'Mrs Serial Killer'

Actor Jacqueline Fernandez is all set to make her debut in the digital space in Netflix’s upcoming original film, Mrs. Serial Killer. The thriller will be directed by Shirish Kunder and produced by Farah Khan.

Jacqueline took to Instagram to share the news.“I’m now a part of the netflix.in fam. Can’t wait for you all to see my new Netflix Original film Mrs. Serial Killer. Get ready,” she wrote.

'Student of the Year 2' Makers Release Party Track ‘Mumbai Dilli Di Kudiyaan’

The makers of Student of the Year 2 have dropped the second song from film. Titled ‘Mumbai Dilli Di Kudiyaan’ is a peppy dance number that shows off Tiger’s dancing skills with his co-stars Ananya Panday and Tara Sutaria matching him step for step.

Varun, Sara’s ‘Coolie No 1’ Remake to Go on Floors in August

After bagging her first Filmfare award, Kedarnath actor Sara Ali Khan is all set to star in an official adaptation of the 1995 Govinda-starrer Coolie No 1, the makers announced on Wednesday. Sara will be seen opposite Kalank actor Varun Dhawan.

The film will be directed by Varun’s father David Dhawan, who also helmed the original film starring both Govinda and Karisma Kapoor in the lead. The new Coolie No 1 will be produced by Vashu Bhagnani and will go on floors in August 2019.

66th National Film Awards Pushed Back Due to Lok Sabha Elections

The Press Information Bureau (PIB) on Wednesday announced that the 66th National Film Awards will be declared after the 2019 general elections. The statement was issued on their website. The Press Information Bureau (PIB) is the publicity arm of the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting.

The exact date for this year’s National Film Awards have not been announced yet.
