War’s Introductory Fight Sequence Has Been the Toughest: Tiger
Tiger Shroff speaks about how he prepared for the action sequences in the film.
Tiger Shroff and Hrithik Roshan are gearing up for the action film War, which is set to hit theatres on 2 October. Now, Tiger Shroff has spoken about the most difficult action sequences that he has shot till date. “Among the most difficult action stunts I have performed in my career are the climax sequences from Baaghi, Baaghi 2 and my introduction sequence in War,” he said in a statement.
Tiger Shroff also spoke about the intense training that he had to undergo for War. “Every action sequence in the film is so different from one another, whether it was the one shot –no cut introduction sequence or the hand-to-hand fight with Hrithik that takes place during the climax,” he said.
“The introductory fight sequence was very tough because it was a one-shot action scene without any cuts. To fight continuously for two-and-a-half minutes is extremely difficult.”Tiger Shroff, Actor
The actor also said that he pushed himself into unchartered territories for War. “The introductory fight sequence was very tough because it was a one-shot action scene without any cuts. To fight continuously for two-and-a-half minutes is extremely difficult. My director Siddharth Anand and the action director kept my strength in mind and also took into account my inputs. Sometimes, they would apply it and sometimes they asked me to change my style and do something that people haven’t seen.”
Praising Tiger, Siddharth Anand told IANS that only he could have executed the acts with such precision. “It is not easy to do an intense combat scene like this in one shot. Tiger is very disciplined and he practised again and again to perfect the shots. On the day of the shoot, he was flawless,” the director added.
