Sridevi has clarified on her Instagram account that her recent comment that it would make her happier to see her daughter Jhanvi married than do a Bollywood film was “misunderstood”.
Earlier this week, in an interview to a Mumbai based newspaper, Sridevi was quoted saying the following about Jhanvi’s debut film:
"She (Jhanvi) wanted to do the film and initially, I wasn't in favour. I don't think it's a bad industry. I am a creation of this world. But, as a parent, it would give me greater joy to see her married. But her happiness matters more, and if she does well as an actress, I will be a proud mother,"
However, now Sridevi has posted a message stating that she wants her daughters to stand on their own feet:
Jhanvi will reportedly be launched in the sequel to Student of the Year produced by Karan Johar. Sridevi will soon be seen in Mom which releases on 7 July.
