The National Animal, to Begin With
But it’s only fair that we talk a little about the magnificent cat, our national animal. India took all her claws out to Save Our Tigers, and guess what? It worked. According to the tiger census, released by Union Environment Minister Prakash Javadekar, the population of tigers has increased from 1,706 in 2011 to 2,226 in 2014. Yay!
