Actor Kiku Sharda, who is popularly known as ‘Palak’ in the hit TV show Comedy Nights With Kapil, has been sent to 14 days judicial custody. The actor had reportedly mimicked Baba Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh on the show.
Kiku has been arrested for allegedly hurting the sentiments of the godman’s followers, who had filed a case against the actor after he mimicked the self-claimed godman on the Comedy Night With Kapil episode aired on 27 December 2015.
The case was filed on 1 January 2016, according to ANI. Kiku says that he has already apologised for his act and reiterated that “I’m an artist who is given a role, a getup & told what to do. I’ve already apologised, I didn’t want to hurt anyone’s sentiments.”
