Doesn’t food always taste better in the mountains? Maybe it’s the rolling hills, the greenery, the climate, or just being away from the pollution and noise of the city.

In Mussorie, you get the best eggs in the country. Don’t believe us? Just drop in at Lovely Omelette Centre and find out yourself.

Make sure you grab a chai to go with your omelette and you have the perfect pahadi snack.

Mussoorie’s most famous eatery is also its smallest — a cubbyhole along the Mall that serves what are arguably the best omelettes in India, for almost a century now.

No wonder Lovely Omelette Centre is a popular tourist attraction.

When asked about what makes these omelettes so popular, Khurshid reveals he uses haldi (turmeric). “Turmeric kills the egg-y smell and aids in digestion. I routinely put in a little bit of haldi in my omelettes so that they may smell better,” he adds.
