Exactly after a month of the top management rejig in e-commerce firm Flipkart, Mukesh Bansal on Wednesday resigned as its head of commerce and advertising business. Binny Bansal was made the Chief Executive Officer and Sachin Bansal as the Executive Chairman of Flipkart on 11 January this year.
Following Mukesh’s resignation, even Chief business officer Ankit Nagori has resigned. Myntra founder Mukesh will continue to work as an advisor to Flipkart and Myntra till March and Nagori will work till three months, as confirmed by Binny Bansal to ET.
Mukesh joined Flipkart when his firm Myntra was acquired in May 2014. He might take a break of 3-6 months before returning to work. Nagori joined the e-commerce giant in 2010 and he plans to open a sport talent development company which will be backed by Sachin and Binny.
