3,100 People Injured in Kashmir, Curfew Imposed From Friday

Mobile internet services have been suspended in the valley since Saturday.

  • On Thursday, authorities in Jammu and Kashmir said a curfew will be imposed across the Kashmir Valley on Friday as a precautionary measure to maintain law and order.

    Over 3,100 people, including 1,500 security personnel, have been injured in Kashmir. Majority of the injured people have either been discharged from hospitals or are being treated for minor injuries.

    Health Minister Bali Bhagat has directed the concerned authorities to extend every possible medicare to the injured for their early recovery. He also directed for ensuring free supply of medicines to the patients.

  • No vehicular movement will be allowed in the state except for medical emergency vans. The mobile telephone network will also be snapped around Thursday midnight to prevent spreading of rumours. Mobile internet services have already suspended in the Valley since Saturday.
