Vyapam Scam: More Than 30 Named in First Two FIRs by CBI

The first two FIRs registered in the Vyapam Scam’s CBI investigation name more than 30.

Initiating its probe in the Vyapam scam, the CBI today, registered FIRs in two cases related to rigging the Pre-Medical Test of 2010 and pre-PG Examination of 2011.

It named Gulab Singh Kirar, a member of the MP Backward Classes and Minorities Commission, and his son Shakti Singh Kirar.

Others named include two Former Controllers of Examination, Vyapam, Sudhir Bhadauria and Pankaj Trivedi.

The first FIR includes 21 candidates while the second one includes 8 under IPC sections related to criminal conspiracy, cheating and forgery among others, sources said.

CBI had taken over the investigation into the killer scam from the Supreme Court on Monday.

According to the Congress party, 49 people associated with the massive admission and recruitment scam have died mysteriously so far.

A 40-member CBI team is headed by Joint Director R P Agarwal to probe the scam.
