Aamir Khan’s next film, Dangal will see the actor going through a remarkable physical transformation. After gaining more than 22 kilos, he is going to lose it all over again before the last schedule of the film. He’s been in the news for beefing up and weighing more than 90 kilos for this role. Aamir’s already made the audience curious about his wrestler avatar on screen.

Director Nitesh Tiwari and his crew are busy with the film’s pre-production for the mid-September schedule this year. Filming will continue for four months. And in 2016, before the last schedule, Aamir has to lose all the extra weight he has gained.

There are portions in the film where Aamir is young. And being young means, he will be fit and at the very best of his health. And for shooting those portions, he has come back to his fittest self

Aamir who used to weigh 68 kilos during the filming of Rajkumar Hirani’s PK, has turned vegetarian with a special diet and a strict health regime that’s helping him beef up. He now weighs more than 90 kilos. So strict is the diet that he is not even allowed to eat eggs.

Since losing the extra pile might take time, and Aamir, being the perfectionist that he is, will not start shooting unless he is happy about his comeback to a fit body.

After starting shooting in September, we will shoot non-stop for close to four months. There are little breaks of 4-5 days only due to logistical reasons. The last schedule will be shot only when he loses the extra weight that he has gained so far. Knowing him, he will not shoot till he is absolutely fit
– Nitesh Tiwari, (Director, Dangal)

Dangal is based on the life of wrestler Mahavir Phogat and his daughters – Geeta and Babita, the women wrestling champs. Fatima Shaikh and Sanya Malhotra will be playing the daughters, and the girls are being training in wrestling for the film.
