A video taken by one of the passengers on board the Emirates EK521 reveals the chaos in the aircraft, after it crash landed at the Dubai airport.
Panic-stricken passengers are seen scurrying as they try to get off the aircraft and to safety. In the background a crew member, most likely, instructs passengers to “Leave your bags behind, jump and slide! Jump and slide!”
As oxygen masks fall out of the overhead cabinet, there’s visible smoke inside the aircraft. As the person taking the video reaches the emergency exit, the camera zooms into one of the propellers of the plane bursting into flames.
The plane was flying from Thiruvanantapuram and crash landed at the Dubai airport. It caught fire on the runway.
While all passengers were evacuated safely, a firefighter died while saving the lives of others.
