1. 15-Year-Old Girl Gangraped, Murdered; Body Hung From a Tree in UP
A teenage girl was allegedly abducted, gangraped and then murdered. She was later found hanging from a tree in Nanpara area of Bahraich district in Uttar Pradesh.
The body of the 15-year-old girl was found hanging from a tree on Saturday. Preliminary investigations reveal her to have gone missing from her village on Friday.
The incident has triggered outrage, prompting the authorities to swing into action. Four constables have been suspended for dereliction of duty and two of the three accused named by the victim’s father have been arrested so far, the police said.

2. Woman Held for Kidnapping Lover’s Boy
Mumbai police has revealed that it has successfully arrested a woman, and rescued a six-year-old minor within three hours of his alleged kidnapping.
The woman, whose name has not been revealed by police, allegedly kidnapped Ayan Choudhary from near his house in Sakinaka area of Prabhat Wadi, Mumbai.
Initial investigations revealed that the accused woman had an extramarital affair with the boys father and she wanted to teach the latter a lesson over some dispute.Mumbai Police

3. Girl Molested by Youth After Obscene Posts on FB
A 27-year-old man allegedly molested a minor girl and blackmailed her by creating a fake Facebook account in her name to post obscene messages and pictures, police said on Sunday.
Three persons, including the youth and two of his woman friends, have been booked in this connection, they said.
The man, who is a close relative of the 16-year-old victim’s father, allegedly created the fake account on Facebook last year.
He then purportedly sent obscene pictures and messages from the fake account to a female friend of his, who is also an acquaintance of the victim,

4. Woman Strangulated to Death for Dowry; Husband, Father-in-Law Held
Ghaziabad Police, on Sunday, arrested the husband and father-in-law of a woman for allegedly killing her over dowry in Dedha village.
The police received a complaint on 25 May from Prabhu, father of the deceased, alleging his daughter was strangled and later cremated secretly on 24 May by her in-laws for not bringing enough dowry, SHO Subodh Saxena revealed.
The accused Pankaj, her husband, and Surendra, father-in-law, were arrested on Sunday from their residence, he said, adding four other family members are absconding.

5. Children Given Nitrous Oxide Instead of Oxygen, Die
The Indore Police on Sunday revealed that an eight-year-old boy has died, while another is in a critical condition at Maharaja Yeshwantrao hospital in the city after they were mistakenly administered nitrous oxide, a widely used anaesthetic agent, instead of oxygen.
The operation theatre has been sealed and an FIR registered.
Ayush, 8, died in the operation theatre on Friday while Rajveer, 18 months old, is in serious condition after being administered the wrong gas on Saturday at the same hospital, reports The Times of India.
6. 5-Year-Old Girl Sexually Abused; Accused Absconding Shantipur
A five-year-old girl was allegedly sexually abused by a teenage boy, who lured her to his home in Nadia district of Shantipur on the pretext of giving her a sweet.
It has emerged that the alleged assault took place on Sunday at Gayeshpur village, Shantipur.

7. Surrendered Naxal Women Allege Rape by Senior Cadres
Two women Naxals, who surrendered in Chhattisgarh’s Bastar district, have alleged they were raped by Maoist leaders of their squads in forest camps.

8. Porn Clip Threat Lands Three Pune Constables in Jail
On Friday, Pune Government Railway Police arrested a trio of Government Railway Police (GRP) officers for harassing a passenger on the Pune-Howrah Express train earlier this month.
Identified as Amar Gopichand Polke (42), Sunil Vatkar (35) and Balu Patole (38), the accused confiscated the complainant’s cellphone, claiming he had pornographic material on it.
According to a report published in Mid-Day, the victim, identified as Sion Sajalkumar Das, 28, was abused and robbed of Rs 1,500.
9. Teen Drugged, Gangraped
A 16-year-old girl was allegedly drugged and raped by three youths at Barasat on Friday evening, reports The Times of India.
The accused, Tufan, Ajhar and Mirajul, have been arrested. In her complaint, the girl said one of the accused, whom she knew, took her to a park near Duttapukur.
