Petrol prices have been increased by Rs 2.58 per litre, while diesel prices will shoot up by Rs 2.26 per litre. This revision in prices will be effective from midnight.
This is the third such hike in the last month. Latest of them coming on 16 May, when prices of petrol and diesel were increased by Rs 1.06 and Rs 2.94 per litre respectively.

These hikes come on the back of rising crude oil prices in the international market where barrel prices came close to $50 last week.
