There was an overwhelming response on Twitter to Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s ‘selfie with daughter’ idea, which he spoke of during his Mann Ki Baat radio address on Sunday.
While #selfiewithdaughter immediately started trending, Kavita Krishnan, Polit Bureau member, CPI(ML), predictably took an alternate view to take a dig at the PM’s initiative by tweeting:
Needless to say, Kavita began to get trolled by Modi bhakts. But the most unpredictable troll of them all turned out to be Bollywood’s sanksari babuji Alok Nath! The actor resorted to an offensive and condemnable retort, that read, “jail the bitch”.
Though the abusive tweet was later deleted from Alok Nath’s verified Twitter handle, it had already begun to make rounds online with screenshots. And as always twitterati was quick to respond:
