The latest number of Prabhu Deva’s next flick, ABCD 2 is out and it has taken social media by storm. Titled “Happy Hour”, the song features dancing sensation Prabhu Deva with actor Varun Dhawan showing off their moves.
The Quint brings you five things to look forward to in “Happy Hour”:
1. One Take Prabhu
For decades, Bollywood songs have been shot in multiple takes, without any sense of continuity. Actors change their clothes multiple times and the location goes from a beach in Greece to the Swiss Alps.
But dance maestro Prabhu has apparently finished the entire song in a single take, according to Bollywood Life. Even Hrithik Roshan and Shahid Kapoor haven’t achieved this feat.
2. Dedicated to His Mentor
Both Prabhu and director of ABCD 2, Remo D’souza are dance gurus of Bollywood. But did you know Prabhu was actually Remo’s mentor back in the day? The pupil specially added the song Happy Hour as tribute to his teacher.
3. Varun in the Background
Jr Dhawan is quite the dancer himself, proving his mettle time and again. From “The Disco Song” in Student Of The Year to “Saturday Saturday” in Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania, Jr Dhawan has been the star and heartthrob. In “Happy Hour” though, the actor will be seen as a background dancer as Prabhu takes centre stage. Now that’s a humble star!
4. In Awe of Prabhu
Well, that’s what we heard. Varun is in awe of his guru’s superb dancing steps. He totally admires the way Prabhu Deva moves so effortlessly.
5. The Return of Mika
Mika sung “Piyega Nahi to Bheja Hoga Psycho Re” in ABCD and he returns for the sequel. The talented singer will croon to ‘Happy Hour’ in this film, and we are sure this one will have the special Mika tadka.
