Shraddha Kapoor is upbeat not just about the success of ABCD 2 but with all the flattering messages she’s been receiving from several biggies in Bollywood. She says, “Aditya Chopra messaged me after ABCD2, he said he is proud of me and he wishes more blockbusters my way. He had messaged me after Aashiqui 2 and Ek Villian as well, which meant the world to me. I would love to work with him. Who wouldn’t? It will be great if that happens. He has always supported me since Luv Ka The End.”
Not many remember that Shraddha has already worked under Aditya Chopra’s Y Films, albeit in a small film titled, Luv Ka The End. “A lot of people think that Aashiqui 2 was my first film. They don’t remember Teen Patti and Luv… I used to correct them earlier but now I have given up,” she says.
And barring Ungli, the actress has had a successful run recently at the box-office with Ek Villain, Haider and ABCD2, which has its own perks, “Yes (after successful films) perception towards me has changed. People are offering me more films now. That’s nice – from not being offered films to being offered a lot of films is good,” Shraddha admits.
Ask her if she has become pricey after the success of ABCD 2 and she laughs. “Teach me how to be pricey. If I really want to be a part of a film, I chase it down. I will make sure that I do everything in my power to be a part of the film. I would call the producer and director. Rock On 2 and Haider happened as a combined effort. When I heard they want to meet me, I said let me call and talk to them. I don’t want to lose time and lose out on a precious film.”
Shraddha will start shooting for two films next month – Baaghi and Rock On 2. After perfecting her dance moves Shraddha is now learning to sing. She reveals, “I will be singing all my songs in Rock On 2. In future I may come up with a single as well. For now, I am just focusing on both these films. I will start shooting for Baaghi with Tiger Shroff very soon. It’s a lovely film.”
