The platform has been found culprit of spreading hatred and fake news, ably governed under its ambit of encryption and it also entered the payment space in the country.
Having said that, the messaging app, with over 200 million monthly daily active users in India, has been showered with a slew of new features this year that have caught everyone’s fancy for one reason or the other.

4. How Does the New TV Channel Pricing Policy By TRAI Affect You?
Television viewing in India is at its crossroads, with consumption of digital content via the internet on the big screen slowly but surely catching up. And it was hard for the Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI) to ignore the obvious concerns of the consumer, who is now paying for dual medium of content.
Which is why TRAI’s latest change in tariff for TV channels comes as a big relief for people, who virtually end up spending up to Rs 20,000 annually on subscriptions.
The new policy also requires broadcasters like Star and Zee to publish their channel rates and ask cable operators and Direct To Home (DTH) service providers to offer all channels a la carte at a maximum monthly price of Rs 19 each, the report adds.

5. Reliance Jio May Soon Let You Monitor Your Car’s Health & Location
Reliance Jio first became a household with mobile internet, it is expected to do the same with broadband internet very soon. But it’s fair to say that sky’s the limit for the country’s third-largest telecom operator. After pushing internet into everyone’s life, Jio is now eyeing your four-wheeler, with its version of a Connect app.
Which brings us to the next possible Jio product launching in the coming weeks. We came across this app called Jio Motive on the Google Play Store listed as unreleased.
Having said that, anyone can install the app right away, use it probably as early beta testers and help the company with the feedback for the app. The Jio Motive app, as per the feature list seems like a one-stop solution for car owners.
