Kalki Koechlin’s podcast for BBC, called ‘Kalki Presents: My Indian Life,’ is back with the second season. The actor and podcast presenter will have ten new episodes, each telling a story about being a young Indian in the 21st Century.
The Quint spoke to Kalki on our latest episode of ‘Offscreen’ about the life she leads aside of her movies and web shows.
Speaking about why she was interested in doing the podcast Kalki said, “These are exciting stories of young Indians, and the medium allows you to be doing other things and then listen to stories on the side. I love TED talks, and this is like the audio version of that.”
She also spoke about how important it is to have a life ‘beyond the movies’. When asked if she’s addicted to social media she said, “I enjoy it, and there are days when I do post a lot, but again there are times when I just don’t feel like and that’s fine. I like to keep away from my phone for a while every now and then. Nothing earth shattering is going to happen.”
Kalki also spoke about how a ‘pregnant’ female actor is not a big deal anymore in Bollywood, and that a break after her delivery would be a choice that an actor gets to make. Hear all this and lot more in the podcast!
