A second Pakistani terrorist was captured alive in Jammu and Kashmir today, less than a month after the capture of Mohammad Naveed. He was caught after a gunfight with the Indian armed forces that lasted more than 20 hours.
The terrorist has been identified as 22-year-old Sajjad Ahmed from Muzaffargarh in southwestern Punjab, Pakistan.
Three other militants were also killed in the encounter.
Security forces fired tear gas shells and ‘chilli grenades’ into the cave Sajjad was hiding in to flush him out. A large cache of arms was also recovered after the encounter ended.
This was the 55th incident of ceasefire violation by Pakistan in August 2015 alone.
