A machine that crushes plastic bottles has been installed at the Vadodara Railway Station. Coming close to the World Environment Day celebration on 5 June, this is an important development that aims to curb the amount of plastic bottles that are dumped on railway tracks and platforms.
The machine was inaugurated by Vadodara MP, Ranjanben Bhatt.

To discourage people from dumping plastic bottles on railways tracks and platforms, Rs 5 gets transferred to Paytm accounts on dumping a plastic bottle in this crusher.
Similar machines are already operational in Railway Stations in cities like Pune, Ahmedabad, Mumbai and Bengaluru.
