1. CBI Raids P Chidambaram’s Residence; Lalu Under I-T Scanner
The CBI on Monday conducted searches at multiple premises linked to former Union finance minister P Chidambaram and his son Karti Chidambaram in connection with alleged favours granted in FIPB clearance to a firm. Official sources in Delhi said the searches were spread across Mumbai, Delhi, Chennai, and Gurugram.
The raids are also taking place at the Nungambakkam residence of P Chidambaram in Chennai, a senior police official said in Chennai.
But Monday wasn’t all about Chidambaram.
The Income Tax department raided at least 22 locations across Delhi-NCR on companies and people associated with Lalu Prasad Yadav in connection with alleged benami deals worth Rs 1,000 crore.

2. North Korea Could Be Behind WannaCry Ransomware Cyber Attack
Cyber security researchers have found technical evidence they say could link North Korea with the global WannaCry ransomware cyber attack that has infected more than 3,00,000 computers in 150 countries since Friday.
Symantec and Kaspersky Lab said on Monday that some code in an earlier version of the WannaCry software had also appeared in programs used by the Lazarus Group, which researchers from many companies have identified as a North Korea-run hacking operation.
“This is the best clue we have seen to date as to the origins of WannaCry,” said Kurt Baumgartner, researcher, Kaspersky Lab.

3. IPL Qualifier 1: Mumbai Indians vs Rising Pune Supergiant
Table-toppers Mumbai Indians will be itching to avenge their double defeat against Rising Pune Supergiant in the league stage when the two teams face-off in Qualifier 1 of the Indian Premier League in Mumbai on Tuesday.
Mumbai Indians outplayed the Kolkata Knight Riders in their last league match to secure the top spot.

The Sarabhai khandaan is back! The first episode of Season 2 is out already, a day sooner than we expected, but no one’s complaining. As I put everything else on hold to watch the web-series avatar of my all-time favourite TV show, my fingers were crossed, desperately hoping to find the humour and charm of the Sarabhais intact.
