Hundreds of people twerked their way from the White House to the Trump Hotel in Washington D.C on Friday to protest against US President Donald Trump's stance on LGBT issues, transgender rights and the environment. The crowd danced through the streets brandishing rainbow flags and wearing colourful costumes. Protest organisers called the action an act of solidarity with the People's March for Climate, which takes place on Saturday.

Trump is expected to make a final decision as to whether the US will pull out of the Paris climate change deal in May. The president included the removal of the US from the agreement in his 100-day plan for energy policy.
