Ahead of the crucial Karnataka assembly elections on 12 May in all the 224 constituencies of the state, Chief Minister Siddaramaiah, in an interview to ANI, has attacked the opposition BJP, Prime Minister Narendra Modi and BJP President Amit Shah.
Siddaramaiah, who is confident of a clear victory and a comeback for the Congress government in the state, has denied any possibility of a hung assembly. Siddaramaiah has said that he believes his government has fulfilled all the promises made to people of the state and that his party’s good work in the state will pay off.

Siddaramaiah has accused the BJP of creating an unhealthy atmosphere in the state and of hampering peace. Calling the BJP a communal party, he has invited all ‘secular minded people to come together to fight the communal forces at the centre’
Siddaramaiah has also attacked BJP President Amit Shah, claiming that Shah is not a good strategist and only resorts to communal clashes.

Confident that his own government is ‘scamless’, Siddaramaiah has accused the BJP of making baseless allegations of corruption against his government for political benefits. Besides his attack on BJP, Siddaramaih’s tweet calling PM Modi and Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath as ‘North Indian Imports’ has stirred a controversy. The jibe has definitely not gone down well with the BJP, which called the remark ‘maligning and defaming’. BJP called out to Sonia and Rahul Gandhi, also North Indian campaigners in Karnataka, to explain and come out clean on the tweet.
