India has set its eyes on becoming a full-fledged electric vehicle market by 2030, and we’re seeing active participation from India-based startups, breaking the mould of conventional companies with their innovative approach.
And Emflux is one such brand which is looking to go beyond the ordinary with its claims of coming out with an electric superbike that’ll be a match for established names like Triumph and Kawasaki.
The Bengaluru-based firm is gearing up to showcase its Model 1 superbike which is claimed to have a maximum speed of 200 km/hr and can run for about 200 Km.
The Model 1 is expected to offer 84Nm of torque which lets the bike go from 0 to 100 km/hr in just 3 seconds. The bike packs a liquid-cooled AC induction motor, a 7-inch touch TFT display, GPS navigation, real time vehicle diagnostics and auto updates via a mobile app.
With a range of up to 200 km, Emflux must ensure that the charging facility is at par with other high-end electric bikes in the sector. We still don’t know how long the bike will take to charge, but with its expected pricing of around Rs 18 lakh, that should be the least of the concerns.
Auto Expo 2018 is the biggest expo in India for all car and bike makers to showcase their products. This is the 14th edition of the expo where 24 launches will take place.
