Isha Ambani and Anand Piramal tied the knot in a private ceremony in Antilia, Mumbai. Film and sports icons, business tycoons, political heavyweights, celebrities and a host of others attended what was described as ‘a royal wedding’ for the scions of two top business conglomerates.
A low-key reception was held at Anand Piramal’s residence on 13 December. An open-air wedding reception is being hosted by the Ambanis on 14 December at Jio Garden in the BKC business district. AR Rahman and tabla maestro Zakir Hussain will purportedly play at the reception on 14 December.
The grand pre-wedding celebrations in Udaipur comprised an Anna Seva, Maha Aarti, sangeet, and the glitzy Beyoncé concert.
Dignitaries like Former President Pranab Mukherjee, former US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton and Praful Patel, amongst others made it to the wedding. Prominent invitees also included Bollywood actors like Amitabh and Jaya Bachchan, Abhishek and Aishwarya Bachchan, Aamir Khan and Kiran, Shah Rukh Khan and Gauri, Salman Khan, Katrina Kaif, Priyanka Chopra and her husband Nick Jonas, Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh. Rajinikanth too graced the wedding.
Besides, Sachin Tendulkar and other sports personalities, top business honchos included K.V. Kamath, Sanjiv Goenka, Deepak Parekh, Sashi and Anshuman Ruia, Adi Godej, Rahul Bajaj and Harsh Mariwala.
