The holy city of Mecca might get its first sex shop very soon.

Mecca is the holiest city of Islam where millions of Muslims visit every year during the ‘hajj’ (pilgrimage). Who would have thought someone would want to open a sex shop?
For starters though, the shop will not stock vibrators, dildos or other sex toys. In fact it will be compliant with Sharia, the Islamic law that governs the lives of millions of Muslims across the world. Businessman Abdelaziz Aouragh says the commonly held belief about Muslim women being sexually repressed, needs to be challenged.
The image of women in the kitchen with burqa is not a true picture… There is a lot of love and respect Islam has for adult women. Our store puts women at the centre, offers information, and provides answers to frequently asked questions on sex.

Halal sex shop
While halal typically refers to food and beverages that are permissible for consumption by Muslims, it also guides the use of objects under Islamic law.
