The swine flu season is about to begin and many people will carry around bottles of hand sanitizers to protect themselves.(Photo: The Quint)

Believe it or not, the most powerful weapon against any contagious disease is summed up in a three-word phrase you would have heard a million times from your mother: Wash Your Hands.

Accent Be Damned, Priyanka Chopra Kicks Yankee Butt in Quantico!

It’s Sunday. Relax, exhale and sample some of The Quint’s finest stories from the week gone by.
Priyanka Chopra on Quantico should make you proud, not question her accent – the product of a global upbringing. (Photo Courtesy: Instagram/@PriyankaChopra)

Why this national obsession with Priyanka Chopra’s accent? Newspapers and news sites have ripped into her with delicious fervour, calling it everything from ‘inconsistent’ to a ‘Sonia-meets-Salman’ hybrid. The poor accent could well have cowered and shrunk at all this unwanted attention – even got more pronounced. But it did neither.

Truth is, while much of PeeCee’s accent is staged (she’s doing her best to sound like the half-Caucasian, half-Indian character that she plays), half of it is actually very, very real.
