- The economic wing of the RSS, Swadeshi Jagran Manch (SJM), on Monday raised protests against The Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation. They accused the foundation of forwarding their ‘corporate’ agenda before the central government, according to News18.
- Dr Ashwini Mahajan, National Co-convenor of SJM said in the report: “Our Prime Minister Narendra Modi should free the health sector from foreign influence. The NGO is pushing corporate interests in the garb of philanthropy and is pushing up the price of essential vaccines.”
- The SJM also opposed the Centre’s approval of the ROTA virus vaccine soon after the meeting between the Union Health Minister JP Nadda and Melinda Gates (Co-founder of the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation), said the report. The protests have come in the middle of the PM’s US visit.
