Heavy downpur in Delhi and NCR brings respite from the scorching heat

A sudden downpour brought, on Monday 15 July, brought respite from the scorching heat in Delhi and the National Capital Region (NCR).

The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) had predicted cloudy skies with light to moderate rain in Delhi NCR from Monday till Thursday this week.

People across the city have been sharing photos and videos on Twitter celebrating the much awaited downpour.
