Alia Bhatt and Ranveer Singh walked the ramp for Manish Malhotra’s closing show at India Couture Week 2017.
‘Sensual Affair’, his largely monochrome collection with an overwhelming presence of champagne hues, was aesthetically pleasing. Looking at the upcoming wedding season in the country, Malhotra focused on pre-bridal couture.
The garments were opulent, yet breezy. Zardozi and other traditional embroidery styles sat alongside lace, tulle and beaded fringes. Women's collection had long trains, while menswear was a study in quirky elegance with asymmetric jackets and checkered pants.
Alia spoke about the 'challenges' of walking the ramp in high heels. After the show, Ranveer's unmistakable wit and love for drama was at full display.
