A little bit of Karela juice early morning on an empty stomach is recommended for diabetics. It contains a chemical called Charantin, which is known to reduce high blood glucose levels.

Add Methi or Fenugreek to your arsenal to battle sugar. Methi slows absorption of sugars in the stomach and stimulate insulin. Both of these effects lower blood sugar in people with diabetes.

Finally, fruits generally contain natural fructose that gradually increases blood sugar levels. But jamun is a wonder fruit for diabetics. A chemical called jamboline present in jamun seeds is known to lower blood sugar level for a longer duration.
