Alia Bhatt shared a heartfelt message and a throwback picture of herself with dad Mahesh Bhatt on the occasion of the veteran filmmaker’s 71st birthday on Friday 20 September.
Alia took to Instagram to share the special note for her father, which read, “Hey pops. It’s been great knowing you for the last 26 years.. you’re a good guy. Probably the best.. also the wisest.. also you’re very funny.. did I tell you I think you’re super talented too? 🌞🙃 Happy Birthday Daddy .. You amaze me every single day! There is no one like you and I repeat no one 💓 I love you👨👧 ”

Alia shared two photos along with the message. One was a throwback pic where a little Alia is seen Mahesh is seen glowering at the camera while Mahesh is busy on a phone call. The second pic appears more recent and captures a light moment between the father and daughter.
Alia is working with her father for the first time in his upcoming film Sadak 2, which is a sequel to his 1991 hit Sadak. Original stars Sanjay Dutt and Pooja Bhatt return for the sequel and are joined by Alia and Aditya Roy Kapur. Sadak 2 is Mahesh’s return to the director’s chair after a gap of 20 years and was announced on his last birthday. The film is slated to release on 10 July 2020.
Alia also has Brahmastra with Ranbir Kapoor, SS Rajamouli’s RRR and Karan Johar’s Takht lined up.
