On Friday 26 July, the Kangana Ranaut and Rajkummar Rao-starrer Judgementall Hai Kya hit the big screens in India. On Saturday 27 July, several publications reported the film’s day 1 box office collections. However, there seems to be an obvious discrepancy in the figures reported across these publications.
According to Box Office India, an online entertainment website, the figures were slightly lower.
According to a press release from the producers, the Prakash Kovelmudi directorial opened to Rs 5.40 crore on Friday. While the day one box-office figures were expected to be somewhere between Rs 6 - 8 crore, the actual numbers were slightly lower than expected. The same was reported by The Quint.

The publication reported that Judgementall Hai Kya collected Rs 4.50 crore on the first day of its release. It also added that the film’s overall business will depend on how much it collects in the Metros over the weekend.
“The film is going to depend on the metros as business outside them is very poor but the film has a chance from this start depending on what happens over the weekend and especially Monday. The weekend has to show big growth to keep it in the race till Monday,” said the report.

The website further added that Jugementall Hai Kya expected to open in the range of 4-5 crores. The same figures were reported by Indian Express.
The film’s release on 26 July clashed with the release of ‘Arjun Patiala’, which stars Diljit Dosanjh and Kriti Sanon.
Judgementall Hai Kya is a psychological thriller that follows the story of Bobby (Kangana Ranaut) and Keshav (Rajkummar Rao). The screenplay has been written by Kanika Dhillon. The film’s release on 26 July clashed with the release of Arjun Patiala, which stars Diljit Dosanjh and Kriti Sanon.
Jugedmentall Hai Kya is Rajkummar Rao and Kangana Ranaut’s second film together after the massive success of Queen in 2014. This is both Kangana and Rajkummar’s second release of 2019. Kangana was earlier seen in Manikarnika, while Rajkummar made an appearance in Ek Ladki Ko Dekha Toh Aisa Laga.
According to India Today, Judgementall Hai Kya earned Rs 8.02 crore on day 2.
