A video showing billionaire businessman Mukesh Ambani, his son Anant Ambani, and Indian cricketer Virat Kohli talking about an application called 'Aviator by Ambani', which helps people multiply their investments is being shared on social media.
But...?: The video is altered and uses AI-generated audio to make the false claim about the 'Aviator' app.
How did we find out the truth?: We noticed that Ambanis' and Kohli's mouth movements did not match the words they were purportedly saying.
Additionally, at several points in the video, the spoken part sounds dull and monotonous, indicating that the audio may have been generated using Artificial Intelligence (AI) tools.
To verify this, we submitted the video to two AI-generated content detection tools by Hive Moderation and Contrails.ai.
Hive Moderation: For the section showing Mukesh Ambani, Hive Moderation showed a 99.9 percent confidence for the audio being AI-generated.
Their tool said that the audio was AI-generated.

When it came to the portion of the video showing Kohli and Anant Ambani speaking, their tool gave the video an aggregate score of 99.8 percent with regards to the audio in the claim.

Contrails.ai: Bengaluru-based startup Contrails.ai's tool detected manipulation in both audio and video, calling both "fake."
Contrails.ai's reports found that the audio and video were manipulated.

It said that both elements had "clear signs of Gen-AI manipulation" and that voice of each person in the video had been created from AI clones.
It added that the video had used "LipSync technique" on each face.
Conclusion: An altered video is being shared with the false claim that Mukesh Ambani, Anant Ambani, and Virat Kohli endorsed an app called 'Aviator by Ambani'.
