1. It’s Official! Priyanka Chopra and Nick Jonas Are Engaged!

Right after news broke that Priyanka Chopra had quit her ambitious project Bharat, with director Ali Abbas Zafar sending a cryptic message mentioning ‘Nick’, Peoplemagazine has now confirmed that Priyanka and Nick Jonas are officially engaged.

The couple made the jump after two months of dating, and Nick popped the question a week ago when they were celebrating Priyanka’s 36th birthday in London. This comes hot on the heels of their India trip, where Nick met Priyanka’s family.

2. ‘Dhadak’ Box Office: Janhvi-Ishaan’s Film Crosses Rs 50 Crore Mark

Introducing debutante, Janhvi Kapoor and featuring Ishaan Khatter, Dhadak, an adaptation of the Marathi blockbuster Sairat is off to a flying start at the box office. It even surpassed the opening collections of Student of the Year (Rs 8 Cr on Day 1).The Shashank Khaitan directorial collected Rs 8.71 crores on its first day at the box-office, which is highest for a film starring newcomers.

Dhadak has now earned Rs 51.56 crore in India in one week.

3. Abu Salem Sends Legal Notice to Makers of ‘Sanju’ for Defamation

Gangster Abu Salem.

After recording a box-office high, Rajkumar Hirani’s Sanju is back in the news. Gangster Abu Salem has sent legal notices to the makers of the film stating that the Sanjay Dutt biopic shows incorrect information about Salem and thereby defames him. According to a report in Times of India, Salem has problems with the scene where Dutt recounts how he was supplied with arms and ammunition before the Mumbai blasts of 1993.

“The scene where Ranbir Kapoor (pictured as Sanjay Dutt) gives a confessional statement about possession of arms and ammunition during communal tension around our country in 1993, is defaming my client (Salem), as my client never supplied the arms and ammunition, as alleged to Sanjay Dutt, as pictured in the film,” the notice said.

5. ‘Bard of Blood’ First Look: Emraan Hashmi on Board Netflix Series

Actor Emraan Hashmi has been roped in for the adaptation of author Bilal Siddiqi's The Bard Of Blood, a series for digital streaming giant Netflix. The series is produced by Shah Rukh and Gauri Khan’s Red Chillies Entertainment.

The tweet from the official Twitter account of Netflix India read: "God has given you one face and you make another. Emraan Hashmi is Kabir Anand in The Bard of Blood!"
