It has now been confirmed that Priyanka Chopra is no longer a part of Salman Khan’s ambitious venture Bharat. The reason for Priyanka’s exit could be her rumoured big wedding with Nick Jonas.
The director of Bharat, Ali Abbas Zafar, sent out a sly tweet on Friday morning which invites a lot of reading between the lines.
“Yes Priyanka Chopra is no more part of @Bharat_TheFilm & and the reason is very very special , she told us in the Nick of time about her decision and we are very happy for her ... Team Bharat wishes @priyankachopra loads of love & happiness for life.” reads Ali’s tweet.
You can’t miss the emphasis on “Nick” here and the “very very special” reason cannot be another film project as reporter by a part of the media. All the emojis and “loads of love & happiness” wished to Priyanka by Team Bharat points to only one conclusion - Priyanka Chopra will be walking down the aisle with Nick Jonas soon.

The announcement of Priyanka Chopra’s entry into Bharat was made with a lot of noise in April this year and it was supposed to be Priyanka’s first big Bollywood project after a 2 year break. While welcoming the actor on board his film Bharat, Ali had said that Priyanka would bring in outstanding acting as well as incredible international appeal to make the scale of the film bigger and even more global. However, it now looks like Priyanka’s priorities have changed in the last few months.
The first shooting schedule of Bharat is already underway and now the team will be on the look out for an actor to fill Priyanka’s shoes.
