Toilet- Ek Prem Katha, the Akshay Kumar-starrer has been in news from the day since the project was announced for its unusual title. After the film’s trailer released, there were allegations that it has been plagiarised from a short film titled Manini.

Now, there are reports that the film is an “unofficial remake” of the National Award winning Tamil film, Joker. As per a report in Deccan Chronicle, the makers of Toilet have paid a substantial amount of money to the makers of Joker so that the news of this “remake” is not made public.
