1. Is UAE Offering Golden Visas for Rs 23 Lakh Under New Policy? A Fact-Check
A post was being circulated on the internet to claim that the UAE recently introduced a new golden visa policy, where people could avail lifetime residency for Rs 23 lakh.
News agency PTI had, too, shared a news report on their official website based on a similar claim (archive here).
But the claim was false. The Federal Authority for Identity, Citizenship, Customs, and Port Security (ICP), in a statement, denied the rumours of the UAE offering lifetime golden visas to certain nationalities.
2. Did Bihar Congress Hand Out Sanitary Pads With Rahul Gandhi’s Pics? What We Know
Social media users shared posts claiming that the Congress party in Bihar was distributing sanitary pads carrying Leader of Opposition (LoP) in Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi's photo.
Our research showed that the Congress had indeed launched a campaign in Bihar, where they distributed around five lakh sanitary pads to promote menstrual hygiene.
However, the party has categorically denied putting Gandhi's photo inside the pads and filed an FIR against comedian Ratan Ranjan and others for allegedly creating a fake video of Gandhi's photo on a sanitary pad.
3. Old Video Falsely Shared as One of Bhim Army Supporters Punished in Prayagraj
Following recent clashes in Uttar Pradesh's Prayagraj, a video went viral on the internet with a claim that it showed the police arresting Bhim Army supporters.
An X user named 'Megh Updates', who has previously been called out for spreading misinformation had shared the clip saying, "Look what Baba's Police have done with the blue hooligans who went on rampage after getting instigated to take Law & Order in their own hand in Uttra Pradesh's Prayagraj. Where is the Kingpin? (sic)."
Team WebQoof found that the video is from June 2025 and showed the police in Baran, Rajasthan, punishing seven people who reportedly tried to loot a petrol pump.
4. Old, Unrelated Images Falsely Linked To IAF Fighter Jet Crash in Rajasthan
A set of two images went viral on social media platforms with users claiming that they showed recent visuals from an alleged terrorist attack on the Indian Embassy in Kabul, Afghanistan.
The claim is false as these images are old. We could not find any credible information to support the claim that the Indian Embassy was recently attacked.
5. No, EAM S Jaishankar Did Not Say India Lost Rafale Jets to Pakistan
A video of External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar, which purportedly showed him admitting to India losing French-made Rafale fighter jets to Pakistan during Operation Sindoor, went viral on the internet.
We found that the claim was false as the video was digitally altered. Team WebQoof did not find any credible statement of this nature and the Ministry of External Affairs has clarified that the claim is false.
