A video showing five men waiting in a corridor for a woman to pass by is being shared on social media platforms. In the clip, two men try touching her shoulder and taking her bag and in retaliation, the woman beats up the men.
The posts noted that if all women had such training, harassment would be eliminated in India.
What we found: We noticed "CUC" logo on the mat in the video.
Team WebQoof has previously fact-checked a similar video which was originally CUC property in November 2023.
We, then, went onto CUC's Instagram page and found the viral video uploaded on 19 December.
The video's caption carried the hashtag "cinema" which hinted it being s scripted video.
We went through the other social media platforms of CUC and found its Facebook page which noted, "Welcome to the Facebook page of Campus Univers Cascades, the largest stunt school in the world. Join us to follow the adventures of our stuntmen and life at the Campus." (sic.)
Its pages feature several videos of fights and stunts, all of which carry hashtags such as "cinema" which hints at the video being scripted.
We have contacted CUC for their inputs and the story will be updated when the response comes.
Conclusion: A video of a scripted fight is being shared as real on social media platforms.
