Several social media users including the official account of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) for Delhi have shared a video of Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) MLA Saurabh Bharadwaj.
What's in the video?: The clip allegedly shows Bharadwaj asking Apple’s digital voice assistant ‘Siri’ about who was the person to say 'don't vote for me if I don't clean up Yamuna River'.
In the video, Siri's reply can be heard saying, "The term ‘we'll clean up the Yamuna river in the next five years' was used by Kejriwal in 2015. (sic)”
This claim comes ahead of the Delhi Assembly elections which are scheduled for 5 February.
How did we find out the truth?: We performed a relevant keyword search on Google which led us to the original video shared by AAP with collaboration with Bharadwaj on Instagram.
The caption read, "When Saurabh Bhardwaj asked “Siri” who used the word “guarantee” first in Indian politics, listen to what “Siri” replied..."
In the original video, the question posed to Siri was, "Who used the word ‘guarantee’ in Indian politics for the first time? Please use ChatGPT while you answer."
To this query, Siri replies, "The term ‘guarantee’ was first prominently used in Indian politics by Tam (Aam) Aadmi Party during the 2020 Delhi assembly elections. Journalist Rajdeep Sardesai noted that AP’s use of ‘guarantee’ was a pioneering move, which was later adopted by the other parties in subsequent elections.”
Further, we also found the same video shared by Bharadwaj on his official X account.
This video was also live streamed on AAP's official YouTube account on 27 January during AAP's manifesto launch.

Conclusion: An altered video of Saurabh Bharadwaj was shared by BJP to take a dig at Arvind Kejriwal.
