Did Kakkar get arrested?: We performed a relevant keyword search on Google and did not find any news report about Kakkar getting arrested.

  • We also checked the singer's official social media accounts and did not find any such update.

What about the link attached in the claim?: The link attached in the claim reads 'Amazon.in' on the viral post on Facebook but when you click on the image, it opens up a fraudulent link which is a fraudulent website of The Indian Express.

  • The URL of this website, however, reads 'live.indiatimestoday1.top' which is not the official URL/address for The Indian Express' website.

  • We also checked The Indian Express' website and did not find any such report.

What does this website says?: It carries a fake interview of Kakkar with Kapil Sharma where she promotes an investing platform, Emarlado.

  • We did not find any interview on Sharma's official channel or social media platforms.

  • Nor did Kakkar share anything about 'Emarlado' on her platforms.

  • This proves that this interview is a fake on on a dupe website to mislead the readers.

What about the viral images?: We did not find these face-swapped images being shared on any credible news channel or on Kakkar's platforms.

We have reached out to Kakkar's team and the story will be updated as and when we receive a reply.

Conclusion: A scam link is going viral on social media to claim that Neha Kakkar got arrested but it also states that she is promoting a fraudulent investing platform.
