ARMA-3 Video Simulation Clip Viral as Pakistan Shooting Down Indian Aircraft

This video is not real, but a video game simulation. It has been falsely shared as Pakistan attacking India.

A video showing several shots being fired in the air and shooting down an aircraft is being shared on social media platforms to claim that it shows the Pakistani Air Force shooting down an Indian aircraft.

Is the claim true?: No, the claim is false. This video is not real but, a video game simulation of ARMA-3.

What we found: At first, we divided the video into multiple screenshots and ran a Google reverse image search on some of the frames.

  • We came across a clip on YouTube from 25 December 2024. It was uploaded by a channel named, 'BattleDragons'.

  • The video's description noted, "Su-57 Near City Center - Military Simulation ArmA 3" (sic).

  • It also noted that the video was a virtual game simulation video.

  • We also came across a post by Press Information Bureau (PIB) about the viral video which noted that several combat gaming videos were misleadingly shared as authentic footage of the recent India-Pakistan conflict.

Conclusion: This video showing an aircraft being shot down has gone viral to falsely claim that it shows Pakistan shooting down an Indian aircraft.
