Navarathri is here, and it’s time for the evening Puja, the four-seven-eleven layered Golu arrangements and of course, the Sundal!
For the uninitiated, the Sundal is a quintessential Tamil snack, made with your choice of lentils, that somehow adapts itself to any occasion. From being the prime choice of munchies at a booze party, to being the ideal choice of ‘Prasad’ at the end of a Bhajan session; the Sundal is everywhere. And it’s tasty!
In fact, the only thing that’s as ubiquitous and malleable as the Sundal, is Lord Ganesha!
This time though, we take it to the extreme. You may have heard of horsegram sundal, or groundnut sundal, or even kidney bean Sundal.
But have you heard of Kurkure Sundal? More importantly, have you drooled over it? No? Here you go!
