Shelly Walia

Shelly Walia is currently leading The Quint as Executive Editor. Over her nine years as a senior editor at the company, Shelly has produced several award-winning videos and multimedia stories on gender, human rights, climate change, and health. Beyond driving the editorial, Shelly collaborates with the marketing, audience engagement, and product teams to create cohesive strategies to build a loyal reader base, drive membership, and make an already AI-driven newsroom even more efficient. Shelly is an alum of the Columbia Graduate School of Journalism, New York, and the University of Delhi. She has previously worked at Business Standard, Fast Company magazine, and Quartz.
