Another man was critically injured in the attack while a woman suffered minor injuries.
Authorities are looking for the gunman who shot and killed the people at a mall north of Seattle.
Initial reports suggested that four people had been killed but was later changed to three. The Washington State Patrol spokesperson said on Twitter that at least three women were killed on Friday evening at the Cascade Mall in Burlington, about 105 kilometres north of Seattle.
Washington State Patrol have said that there is no indication of terrorism in the shooting in Burlington.
