Shreyas Iyer on Wednesday said he would aim to win back-to-back man of the match awards in the remaining two games for Delhi Daredevils, following a classy 96 that sealed a two-wicket victory over Gujarat Lions.
"I was just trying to time the ball, was getting the ball in my areas. Two matches left, let's hope I get two more Man of the Matches," he said with a smile.
It was a dead rubber with both teams out of the play-off race however Delhi captain Zaheer Khan was a happy man.
“We tried everything. Iyer batted really well. Every over they got 12-14 runs, that was our mistake. Losing a lot of close games. I enjoyed the game. Wicket played really well later on, gave them too many loose balls,” said losing captain Suresh Raina.
