On Wednesday, Suresh Raina’s play in the Indian Premier League (IPL) was interrupted after a fan managed to evade security and run onto the field for an autograph from the Gujarat Lions captain.
The young fan, wearing Raina’s jersey, fell to his knees and put forth a white sheet of paper and pen. The umpire then intervened as both the match official and Raina seemed to request the fan to leave the field.
