A video of a huge crowd gathered on what appears to be a beach is being circulated on social media platforms as recent visuals of Indian Muslims in Kerala taking out a pro-Palestine rally.
What did the viral post say?: An X (formerly Twitter) user shared the clip with a caption that said, "Indian Muslims in Kerala rallied in a powerful show of solidarity against the ongoing genocide of #Palestinians in #Gaza."
What are the facts?: The claim lacks proper context. The video could be traced back to October 2023, when Indian Union Muslim League (IUML) held a massive pro-Palestine rally.
How did we find that out?: Using the help of Google Lens, we conducted a reverse image search and found the same visuals published on a Facebook handle called 'IUML Vaniyambadi'.
It was posted on 27 October 2023 with a caption that said, "Indian Union Muslim League. Human Rights RALLY for the people of Palestine in kozhikode Kerala."
The location and the date could also be watermarked on the clip.
Other sources: News channel India Today, on its official Facebook handle, shared visuals from the protest and said that it was organised in Kozhikode Beach in solidarity with Palestine. It was posted on 26 October 2023.
A report published in Times of India said that over thousands of people had gathered on Kozhikode beach for a pro-Palestine rally.
The rally was organised by IUML, where Congress leader Shashi Tharoor was invited as the chief guest.
The people were heard chanting slogans like 'Solidarity with Palestine' and 'Down with Zionism'.
The report was published on 27 October 2023.

Conclusion: It is evident that the video is old and is being incorrectly shared as a recent one.
