US Democratic Prez Aspirant Tulsi Gabbard Alleges "Religious Bigotry" Against Her

Gabbard alleged that she had become a victim of "religious bigotry" as some media outlets were targeting her and accusing her supporters, who have Hindu names, of being Hindu nationalists.

She is the first Hindu elected to the US Congress. She wrote an op-ed for the Religious News Services on Sunday, describing the campaign against her and her supporters and donors as "the profiling and targeting of Hindu Americans and ascribing to them motives without any basis".

Constable Killed in UP Encounter, CM Adityanath Offers Compensation

25-year-old police constable Harsh Chaudhary died in a gunfight in the Bachhrawan police station area of Uttar Pradesh’s Amroha district on Sunday evening. A gangster involved also died.

Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has announced a compensation of Rs 40 lakh  for the wife of the dead constable and Rs 10 lakh for his  parents, said a government spokesperson.

Mexico: 10 dead in community police clash in Guerrero state

Mexican authorities say 10 people have been killed and two more wounded in a clash between two apparent groups of civilian community police in the southern state of Guerrero.

State police responded with military backup and found two trucks riddled with bullets and 10 bodies. Rifles and shotguns were recovered from the scene.

Andhra Pradesh: Children Injured in Bus Accident

Students injured after a school bus turned turtle in Andhra Pradesh’s Guntur district. The bus was carrying 50 students. 15 students suffer minor injuries and 2 students suffer serious injuries, they have been transferred to a nearby hospital.

An Army soldier was injured on Monday in a mine blast along the LoC in Jammu and Kashmir's Poonch district, officials said.

Sri Lanka's Elections Body Chief Threatens to Quit Over Provincial Polls Delay

Sri Lanka's Elections Commission Chairman Mahinda Deshapriya on Monday threatened to resign if the long-delayed provincial councils elections were not held before 10 November.

In a sensational twist to the 'murder' of Himmat Patidar, who is believed to be an RSS worker from Ratlam district, Madhya Pradesh police Monday said the 36-year-old had faked his own killing, apparently to claim the insurance money totalling Rs 20 lakh to repay the debt.

In order to mislead the police, Patidar allegedly killed his farm labourer Madan Malviya (32) to pass it off as his own 'murder', and burnt his face to conceal the identity.
